Know Your Rancher

Our fullblood Wagyu spend their entire lives on pasture in the sunny sub-tropical climate of northern Florida, eating a grass rich diet supplemented with grains, nuts, roots and berries. This climate closely resembles that of some of the most prolific Wagyu-producing regions of Japan such as the Kagoshima and Miyazaki prefectures.

Our goal from day one has been to find Wagyu programs run by passionate ranchers who adhere to the same standards held in Japan. Outside of creating a thoughtful feeding plan, a good program will ensure animals live a stress-free life as increased cortisol levels from high stress can have a noticeable impact on meat quality.

Due to the small scale of our partner ranches, our ranchers are able to give their Wagyu daily attention. These friendly and well-tempered animals enjoy the companionship afforded to them by our family ranches and will even eat from the hand when offered.
